A no-bake appetizer made by rolling creamcheese, deli ham, and sliced cheese inside a flour tortilla, then chilling andslicing it into pinwheel rounds. No oven needed, and it holds up well made aday ahead for parties.
8 to 10slices deli cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or provolone)
1 to 2tbspranch seasoning, freshchives, or dill (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Let the cream cheese soften fully at room temperature, then stir in your chosen seasoning.
Spread a thin, even layer of cream cheese across each tortilla, edge to edge.
Layer ham slices, then cheese slices, staying about half an inch from the edges.
Roll tightly from the edge closest to you, folding the first turn snug against the filling.
Wrap each roll tightly in plastic wrap, twisting the ends closed.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
Trim the ends, then slice into 1-inch rounds with a sharp serrated knife.
Notes
If the rounds unravel when sliced, they likely need more time in the fridge. A full hour minimum is what sets the roll enough to hold its shape once cut.
