Cranberry Vodka Punch

A batched cranberry vodka punch built on asimple scalable ratio of cranberry juice, vodka, orange liqueur, and gingerale, kept cold with a frozen cranberry ice ring instead of regular ice.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cups vodka
  • 1 cup orange liqueur
  • 4 cups ginger ale, chilled
  • Cranberry juice and water, for the ice ring
  • Fresh or frozen cranberries, for the ice ring and garnish
  • Orange slices, for the ice ring and garnish

Instructions
 

  • The night before, fill a bundt pan or ring mold with cranberry juice and water, add cranberries and orange slices, and freeze overnight.
  • Combine the cranberry juice, vodka, and orange liqueur in a punch bowl and stir well.
  • Chill the base for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours ahead.
  • Unmold the ice ring under warm water and float it in the punch bowl.
  • Pour in the ginger ale slowly and give it one gentle stir.
  • Garnish with extra orange slices and cranberries, then serve over ice.

Notes

Scale the ratio (4 parts cranberry juice, 2 parts vodka, 1 part orange liqueur, 4 parts ginger ale) up or down by cups for any crowd size. Always add the ginger ale last so the punch stays fizzy.
